How to Prepare a Wholesale RFQ for BMW, Mercedes-Benz & Audi Aftermarket Exterior Replacement Parts
A useful wholesale request for quotation, or RFQ, does not need to be long. It simply needs to give Sivali enough information to understand the company making the request and the products it wants to source.
This guide is for U.S. distributors and body shops sourcing non-OEM aftermarket exterior replacement parts for BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Audi vehicles. It applies to B2B purchasing inquiries, not individual retail purchases.
What to Include in a Wholesale RFQ
At a minimum, include the following information in your request.
Company and Contact Information
Provide your company name, business type, country and contact email. The business type should indicate whether your company is a distributor or a body shop.
Sivali uses this information to review the company submitting the request and confirm that the inquiry is business-related.
Products and Reference Information
List each requested product separately. Avoid using only a broad description such as “BMW exterior parts” or “Audi body parts.”
Include the clearest identifying information available, such as the product description, relevant vehicle information, an OE reference number or a Partslink number.
If your purchasing team prefers a particular reference format, state whether you prefer OE reference numbers or Partslink numbers. Sivali can provide product references according to the buyer’s preferred format.
For more information, see our B2B guide to OE reference numbers and Partslink numbers.
Quantity for Each Product
Specify the quantity for each line item rather than providing only one total quantity for the entire request.
Requested Delivery Window
Provide the date range during which your company would like to receive the products. A defined delivery window is more useful than a general request such as “as soon as possible.”
See Sivali’s shipping and delivery information before submitting your requested dates.
A Simple Wholesale RFQ Format
You can paste the following format into the Quote Details field and add as many product lines as needed.
TIP: Avoid broad descriptions such as “BMW exterior parts.” A specific part name, vehicle, and reference number give us a much better starting point.
Product 1: Product description: OE reference number or Partslink number, if available: Quantity:
Product 2: Product description: OE reference number or Partslink number, if available: Quantity:

What Happens After You Submit the RFQ
After receiving an RFQ, Sivali reviews the submitted company and purchasing information. We use our internal catalog to review the product and reference information, then handle the request through our internal quotation process.
If a product cannot be reviewed from the information provided, Sivali may request additional details before preparing the quotation.
Submitting an RFQ starts the review and quotation process. It does not create an order. Product availability, pricing and delivery timing are addressed through the quotation process.
